A Day In St Louis.....

The boys and I hit St Louis in the afternoon. After viewing the arch and the Anheiser Busch original factory (from the car), the boys and I spent the day at LaFayette Square. It is one of the oldest parks west of the Mississippi. It had lots of gardens, ponds, statues, and a playground. Everyone was very friendly. The neighborhoods surrounding it are part of a restoration project that has been going on for about 6 years. It is the new "trendy" spot to live. The boys had a great time, and ran off all the energy built up in a day and a half of driving!

Pictures from 4th of July

Fourth of July Festivities at George Bush Library and Museum

The library had a really nice set up for the day. George was not there, as he was golfing with Tiger Woods, but that's okay. They had a lot of free food and stuff for the kids to do. We went through the library, but it is closed for renovation. They have the miniature White House on display (think biggest dollhouse you have ever seen). Everything is architectualy correct, and has everything in it in real life in the minature. The tv's have moving pictures, the photo frames have pics of George and Laura, and they even have miniture Remington sculptures in the Oval Office. We were amazed at the size of the house. It was pretty crowded, so we may go back again so we can spend more time looking at it. They had a band playing outside for a long time, then an Elvis impersonator, and then the symphony. The symphony played for about 20 mins, and then it started to rain, so they stopped. The fireworks were pretty impressive and went off for quite a long time. Sam was a little scared from the noise, but all the boys (including Karsten) stared at them. I think it was the longest Luke and Grant have ever set still (with the exception of watching tv!).

Luke lost his other tooth at Seaworld, but was willing to pose today for photos featuring the "big gap"
