Visiting the Lincoln sites...

First, the house. It was remarkable to go through the house. You are able to touch the staircase banister and "shake hands with Lincoln", see the desk where he wrote speeches, and stand in the room where he recieved the news that he had been elected president. Many of their items are still in the home.
They have also restored many houses in the blocks surrounding the house. There are gravel roads with wooden curbs, and wooden boardwalks instead of sidewalks. This was a wagon on a street Luke thought was neat.

Inside the museum...Posing with the family outside of the White House

On one side of the museum you walk through the front doors of the White House (his presidential years), on the other you begin by walking through the Log Cabin. The boys liked all the wax figures!

And then on to the Tomb....We couldn't go inside because it had just closed, but here I am holding Grant and we are rubbing the nose for good luck. As you can tell, we are not the first to do this!

Very nice, picking Lincoln's nose for good luck.
