Sammy liked the little bluegill that I used for the bait, but was amazed by the large mouth bass!

Baby Toupee---Karsten's solution to Baby Pattern Baldness

Learning the Playyard rules.....

Sammy is having a hard time with sharing. He is hitting 2 with a vengeance! Here he is happy driving the crew since he is at the wheel. Sammy trying to take the over the steering wheel from Grant

Here is Sammy trying to take Evan's hands off the bee. He screamed very loudly and clearly "Leave me alone!". Anytime anyone would go near the bee he tried to get there first.

"At Last--all to myself!!!"

Carousel Ride....

Luke and Grant gear up for the big event
Sammy is so excited for it to start. He stood and begged at the fence for a long time before I decided they could ride. He picked his "zebaaa" and Evan is on a lizard. Aunt Shelley and Aunt Kenna are the standing helpers!

Luke riding the giraffe like he is in a rodeo

Sammy loving his ride

Another Day..Another Zoo....

We spent most of the day at the Bloomington Zoo with Aunt Kenna and Cousin Evan. The boys had so much fun! Hopefully Sammy will not think he can sit on Cosmo like this!
Evan, Luke (making a scared face!) and Grant
Grant grooming the goats

Karsten the cutie!

Visiting the Lincoln sites...

First, the house. It was remarkable to go through the house. You are able to touch the staircase banister and "shake hands with Lincoln", see the desk where he wrote speeches, and stand in the room where he recieved the news that he had been elected president. Many of their items are still in the home.
They have also restored many houses in the blocks surrounding the house. There are gravel roads with wooden curbs, and wooden boardwalks instead of sidewalks. This was a wagon on a street Luke thought was neat.

Inside the museum...Posing with the family outside of the White House

On one side of the museum you walk through the front doors of the White House (his presidential years), on the other you begin by walking through the Log Cabin. The boys liked all the wax figures!

And then on to the Tomb....We couldn't go inside because it had just closed, but here I am holding Grant and we are rubbing the nose for good luck. As you can tell, we are not the first to do this!
